Each spec is scored 0–100 against calibrated reference ranges (not just against the opponent), then weighted per category (Performance 30%, Display 20%, Camera 20%, Battery 20%, Price 10%) and curved so the best phone in the database lands near 95/100. Camera quality uses independent test scores, not raw megapixels. Most category wins — or a clearly higher total — takes the verdict.
