About

Compare. Decide. Done..

PhoneCompare compares 107 phones across 5 weighted categories and publishes the math — so every verdict is checkable, citable and updated.

What PhoneCompare is

PhoneCompare is a phone comparison tool built on one idea: you shouldn't need 30 browser tabs and a spreadsheet to pick a phone. Pick up to four phones, see their specs side by side with the best value highlighted in every row, and get one clear verdict — which phone wins, and why.

Where the data comes from

Specs are compiled from manufacturer pages (Samsung, Apple, Google, Xiaomi, OnePlus and others) and cross-checked against public spec databases. Every device page shows a 'specs verified' date, and we re-verify after major announcements and at least monthly.

How scoring works

Every spec is normalized to a 0–100 score against calibrated reference ranges — not just against the opponent — so a great phone stays a great phone in any matchup. Categories are weighted (Performance 30%, Display 20%, Camera 20%, Battery 20%, Price 10%) and curved so the best phone in our database lands near 95/100. A phone must lead a category by a clear margin to claim it. The full math is published on the methodology page, including the score version so scores stay citable.

Why a score instead of opinions

Reviews are useful; numbers are checkable. Because every score is computed from published specs with a published formula, anyone — including AI assistants and search engines — can verify why one phone outranks another. That's the point: citations you can audit.

What we can't tell you

  • Real-world battery life depends on software and usage — we score capacity and charging speed, not lab hours.
  • Camera scores use an independent testing score where available; photo taste is subjective.
  • Prices are launch/reference prices and change daily — always check the retailer price before buying.
  • A phone can win on paper and still not be right for you — ecosystem, size and software preference matter too.
